Often thought by those outside of the Tri-State Area as being in The Bronx, Bronxville is a village located in Westchester County, New York. As of the 2000 census, the village had a total population of 6,543. It is the home of Concordia College, a Christian liberal arts college operated by the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod. Bronxville is located in the town of Eastchester.

As of the censusGR2 of 2000, there are 6,543 people, 2,312 households, and 1,660 families residing in the village. The population density is 2,659.2/km² (6,869.3/mi²). There are 2,387 housing units at an average density of 970.1/km² (2,506.0/mi²). The racial makeup of the village is 91.88% White, 1.15% African American, 0.05% Native American, 4.83% Asian, 0.06% Pacific Islander, 0.73% from other races, and 1.30% from two or more races. 2.93% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 2,312 households out of which 40.8% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 64.4% are married couples living together, 6.2% have a female householder with no husband present, and 28.2% are non-families. 24.3% of all households are made up of individuals and 11.4% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older.
