Category:20th century antipopes

The Television & Movie Wiki: for TV, celebrities, and movies.

The people in this list all proclaimed themselves pope during the 20th century. These proclamations were made either with no Conclave at all or with a very small Conclave typically consisting of themselves and a small number of their personal associates.

The group that elected David Bawden, who took the name Pope Michael not only claims, but can prove to have made extensive efforts to get other Sedevacantist Catholics to form a larger conclave; a claim that is demonstrably part of the public record.

By contrast Lucian Pulvermacher, and possibly Victor von Pentz as well, cannot make such a claim.

Because these men are not conventionally recognized as being Popes, they are listed by their civil names rather than by their "regnal" names.
